Where were you born? Barcelona
Where do you live? I live in a small village called Castellterçol, 50 km from Bcn
Why did you start playing music? It was a drive inside of me, and I started studying when I was 13
What is your favourite instrument? It is always the one I am working on at this very moment.
What music did you listen to as a child? All kinds.
What was your first record? A single by the Beatles, “It’s been a hard…”
What musical period would you like to live in? Exactly where we are now
Where do you prefer to listen to music? Headphones
Where can we find you when you are not making music? You cannot find me.
Where did you study? First in BCN, then I did my Solistendiplom on the guitar at the Musik Akademie in Basel. Later, I studied lute in Basel at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis
What awards have you received? When I was young, I won some guitar competitions, but since I am nowadays completely against music competitions, I am not proud of it
Who is your favourite composer? One?
Which composer would you like the public to rediscover? Francisco Guerau.
What is your first recording?
I recorded, together with Pedro Estevan (percussion), music by the composer Gaspar Sanz under the group name Laberintos Ingeniosos
What is your favourite recording? (Passacaglia, with you) difficult to choose one. I would say the complete works for Vihuela by Narváez.
Who do you dream of recording with? (realistic or not) I do not dream. When I want to record with somebody, I do it 🙂
Which piece have you never recorded but would like to? I don’t know yet.
What do you do before a concert? Get ready for it.
What do you do after a concert? Shower and sleep
What would you do if you were not a musician? Is it possible not to be a musician?
